brilliant,thanks for your reply andy! I was thinking that maybe there was a catch ( because its a good price) but you have cleared it up for me and all sounds good with the d40! god theres too many to choose from i just gotta find the right one for me! :D

i seen in the argos that they were selling the Nikon D40 for €375….is it worth my while buying this to get started or should i go for something a little higher in spec?

it seems like it might be good enough to start off with, but i dont want something next to useless :D !

Hey just wondering if you took the plunge and purchased a DSLR stig? :)

Im in the same boat as you were and unsure of what DSLR to get as im only a beginner!

Thanks very much wirepic & MartinOC,
the photo was taken at sunset which is giving everything an odd orange colour :) i must read up on how to correct it in photoshop, i have CS2.
thanks very much for all your advice, i hope to have more photos soon…and im saving for a good beginner SLR.
This forum is such an inspiration, alot of incredible photos!
