the above one is not flat at all… I see the curve of the stream, it makes nice letter S. However this curve in not really significant, maybe more contrast to the curve itself
hey! a nice try to stand out of trilion images covering this clock! Especially I like the position of hands. The seem to be in 90 degree and somehow (didn’t have time to check) they remind me of the golden ratio.
I inherited this polaroid from my late auntie from Tuttlingen, however I’ve never even tried to use it. Mostly because I have no idea what kind of film goes there. Is the film still available on the market? I’d love to give it a try.
I dont mind the roof at all. I didn’t even notice it prior to reading your comment. On the other side, why not to vipe it out in photoshop? Maybe some would say that it wouldn’t be a real picture then, but I think that You are the artist, and you can do whatever with your piece of art. This is just my opinion, someone might have completely different.
As for the composition, it would be interesting to include the sun. The left hand side is already hazed by the sunrays, and my eye expects to see what causes this haze. It brings tension (for me unwanted) to the picture.
in my opinion, every photo, even if an abstract one, needs a focal point. Something that would catch your eye, take your attention. I miss that in your picture.
thank’s for the comments, also for that ‘pedantic’ about letters, I am realy messy in that :-)
ok, I didn’t realise that the image was that big, sorry for that, I resized it now.
I played with different levels of burning in the detail in the clouds, and for me that is the best result.
actualy I do not mind the sharpness of the picture that much. What annoys me more is that the fine color/shade transitions became stepped – just look at the detail. I think it is because of massive manipulation, and the fact that the picture was shot to 8bit jpeg, not to 12bit raw :-(
well, focusing on eyes is the little i figured out when shooting living creature :-) and it is not easy at all for me, who use to shoot landscapes more often… hehe
