Very Nice image , suprised (well maybe not nowadays) that there has not been more feedback on it. Like the way the barn even appears to warp around the central star. I have not attempted one of these image but intend to give it a go. What were you settings , specifically shutter speed and WB setting??
And well done, I expect these shots take time and patience

great attempt.how wide are you there ..10mm ? is it 1 long exposure or a load of 30 seconds added together ?..the one thing i would say is it might pack even more of a punch if you cooled it down a bit. it would probably bring up the star trails even more .
like ras i’ve been meaning to get out and try this kind of thing for a while…unfortunately clear skys in the northwest are very few and far between !
well done !
Thanks only my first attempt, yes prob would look better a little colder, Image was taken with my fisheye prob at around 12mm at f5.6 iso 200 for 20 mins in raw. One point make sure you know where North is to get the circle effect. Think i might try stacking the next time.
Good enuf shots Pat love the slow shutter but maybe just need to brush up on your panning to get them a wee touch sharper. Very hard to get the slow pan right with the cars coming head to side on, much easier if you are straight side on looking at the door panel.
What use is all that if the AF don’t work !!! would rather have 8.2mp of a sharp image than 18mp out of focus. At the end of the day he giving up a pro camera for a hobby one. Just my take on it, his money.
This is just my opinion, I would have less sky, frame the image so that the horizon is about a third of the way from the top. Also I would move the mountain is to either the right or left of centre, and if possible have the stream drawing the eye to the mountain by positioning it in such a way that it looks like it is running towards it.
As I say, just my opinion and I am sure those who know more than me will tell you I’m an idiot. :D
Paul
Thanks Paul for your input as i say its my first real landscape, but i do tend to agree with you comments about the stream. I think i would have been better to move closer to the subject and as you said maybe the stream would lead your eye up to the mountain.

Hi Warren,
There are a few things I really like about your image. Firstly, the light is very soft, and the pastel colours are great. I can’t decide if the slight magenta feel to the sky is from the cold morning light, or from an ND grad filter? In any case, I think it looks good and compliments the warm foreground well.
At the moment the image feels a little unbalanced, as most of the action is in the left 2/3 of the image. I would suggest a crop as follows…
Steve
Thanks Steve for your comments, I do agree with you that a tighter crop would have worked better now its been pointed out lol as for the nd filter i use Hitec filters so do they tend to colour cast ?? the sky was a nice colour but maybe not just that purple.
