A recent enough issue of Digital Camera has a feature on photographing a gig. I think he was using a Nikon D300 and a 16-85mm for the pit and a 70 – 200mm on a different body for back in the audience.
I have atz7 panasonic tz3. its a couple of years old now but has a good optical zoom (10x) and video capability. the current one has 10 mp, 12x zoom and hd video and is available for €275 plus p+p on pixmania.ie. perfect size for handbags etc.,
thanks for the advice guys which was taken on board..but i plumped for a used 18 – 105 from a reputable dealer and flogged my 18-55 kit lens to off set the cost. maybe in a couple of years i will get the 18-65. as it stands I’m a novice and will be doing a short course soon to learn how to use my camera properly. as the man in the shop wisely said “the biggest obstacle to a good picture is the person holding the camera” or something like that. anyway when i get better I will upgrade… to a D3s etc., etc.,
Thanks for advice so far. After gaffos’s post I did Google it. Came across some guys almost having a fist fight (if that is possible online) over which flash was the one to buy – maybe I’m not taking this photography lark seriously enough!!
whats the flash like for outdoors use. I have anikon d5000. I need a flash and am new to photography. I can’t justify spending sb800 or sb600 money, but still want something that is a good bit better than the one thats built into the camera. Also do the Nikon flashes work better with a nikon camera than say a sigma one? any advice appreciated.
