Connie – bokeh is the background blur, or any blur for that matter :) Hmm… not explaining it well – this does better than I can: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bokeh” onclick=”window.open(this.href);return false;
I was using noise software, but it’s on my other computer which has died on me :( Must get some more for this one instead. Camera used is D300s, which is much better than the D80 was for noise, but on some photos it’s still very noticable. Still, I didn’t mind too much – hopefully there’ll be better chances! :D
Thank you all! It was far too high an ISO really – 800 – I normally never push it over 400 if I can help it, although I am still impressed by how well it handles noise even at high ISO like this! :) I was really just testing the hide out this morning – I can’t wait to have a decent long play with it! :D
It is a little busy, and a bit funny with colour, but nevertheless the idea is nice, and I think with some patience and watching for similar behaviour in that place, you may get a fab shot! :D
100% Dunnock ;) Very pretty little birds :) I think some good advice was given, and I do like to see an animal in its natural habitat, but perhaps a bit less cluttered. They’re not the easiest to photo in my limited experience anyway, as they like to kep close to thick hedge.
Gorgeous – that lapwing shot is really lovely, and so lucky with the Eider – one of my favourite birds – especially their Frankie Howard mating calls! :D
